 Sunday, December 3 - “1st Sunday of Advent” - The beginning of our season of hope,              expectation and waiting as we look forward again to the celebration of Christ’s coming.  This Sunday we will light our first advent candle.  We will also come to the Lord’s Table for the Sacrament of Holy      Communion.   Lectionary - Isaiah 64:1-9; Psalm 80:1-7, 17-19; 1 Corinthians 1:3-9; Mark 13:24-37.  

 
 Sunday, December 10 - This Sunday we will light the second Advent candle.  Lectionary - Isaiah 40:1-11; Psalm 85:1-2, 8-13; 2 Peter 3:8-15a; Mark 1:1-8. 


 Sunday, December 17 - This Sunday we will light the third Advent candle and continue to enjoy the       special hymns and music that proclaim God’s love at Christmas.  Lectionary - Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11; Psalm 126; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24; Luke 1:47-55; John 1:6-8, 19-28.  

 
 Sunday, December 24 – During our morning worship we will observe the final Sunday of Advent.  We will receive the Joy Offering during the service and our worship will feature some of our favorite Carols.           Lectionary - 2 Samuel 7:1-11, 16; Psalm 89:1-4, 19-26; Romans 16:25-27; Luke 1:26-38 & 47-55.  


 Sunday, December 24 - Christmas Eve - We will gather for our special Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service at 7:30 p.m. as we celebrate the wonder of God’s love – incarnate in          Christmas.  Worship will include the passing of candlelight.  Battery operated candles will be available for young children and those who prefer them.  Lectionary - Isaiah 9:2-7; Psalm 96; Titus 2:11-14; Luke 2:1-20. 


 Sunday, December 31 – The first Sunday after Christmas, we will gather to reflect on God’s gift and continue our Christmas celebration in song.  Lectionary - Isaiah 61:10-62:3; Psalm 148;     Galatians 4:4-7; Luke 2:22-40.
